The Konso Intellectual Association extends its warm greetings to all followers of the Christian faith on the occasion of the Glorious Resurrection, wishing you a peaceful and blessed Easter.

As we reflect on the Easter and Resurrection holidays, we remember the great sacrifice paid by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who left the glory of His heavenly throne and gave Himself on the cross of Calvary. As scholars, although we live in different parts of the country and the world, we are called to pay our share of the price so that our community may overcome its challenges and achieve a better life.

It is well known that in paying the price for the salvation of humanity, Jesus Christ endured many hardships: mockery, humiliation, suffering, sweat, and blood. Likewise, all scholars must develop the courage to overcome the difficulties they encounter in their journey to uplift our community. Our primary task should be to stay focused on our mission, overcoming criticism and obstacles from all sides with patience and forgiveness.

Although Jesus Christ was crucified and buried, and it was thought that “it is finished,” He rose again, conquering death. Similarly today, even if there are those who try to hinder the progress of the Konso Intellectual Association or underestimate its work, they cannot stop its journey.

Just as Judas betrayed his Lord in history, there are also a few today who, under the name of scholars, pursue personal interests and lose sight of the association’s mission. Likewise, as Peter once showed courage but later denied, there may be those who retreat in the face of challenges. On the other hand, just as there were faithful followers including the women and Simon of Cyrene who carried the cross there are many committed members today who steadfastly contribute to the association’s mission and work tirelessly to address the community’s problems.

Just as there is resurrection after crucifixion, success is inevitable after great effort and sacrifice. Our present efforts will bring the light of resurrection to our suffering community tomorrow. Although there may be fear and uncertainty between hardship and victory, if we persevere, the resurrection will surely become a reality.

Therefore, as we celebrate the Resurrection, the Association calls upon everyone to embody love, sacrifice, and humility not only for ourselves but also to be a source of hope for others.

Once again, we wish all followers of the Christian faith and members of the Association a peaceful and blessed Resurrection holiday.
