KIA is delivering capacity building training to Kolme Woreda Public servants

“The Konso Intellectuals Association (KIA) is an institution founded with a bright vision to solve the development challenges of the Konso community through research based approaches and to elevate the community to a better level,” said Honorable Mr. Fikru Birhanu, Chief Administrator of Kolme Woreda.

The Konso Intellectuals Association, in collaboration with the Kolme Woreda Administration Office, has begun providing a two day training program for the woreda’s civil servants on the following themes:

👉Glocal Mindset for Public Servants

👉Work Ethics and Professionalism

👉Public Service Delivery

👉Emotional Intelligence

Participants include the Chief Administrator of Kolme Woreda, Honorable Mr. Fikru Birhanu, senior woreda officials, the Vice Chairperson of the Karat Branch of the Konso Intellectuals Association, Honorable Mr. Zerhun Yalisa, and other woreda professionals.

During the opening ceremony, Honorable Mr. Fikru Birhanu stated that the main objective of KIA is to solve the community’s development problems through scientific approaches and, by organizing trainings on public service delivery and other development related issues for government employees across the zone, to ensure that everyone becomes empowered through knowledge. He added that since its establishment, the association has been providing various transformative and capacity building trainings.

He further emphasized that the training is highly important and urged all participants to follow it with special attention, while also commending the organizers of the program.

The first training session, focusing on “Mindset,” is currently being delivered by Honorable Mr. Kaftle Toraito.

Regarding the training, detailed information will be reported after closely following the sessions and compiling a summary.
